SYNOPSIS
In San Francisco's Chinatown, a group of rowdy westerners bully and tease the waiting staff. Waiter Bruce (Bruce Li) decides to teach them a lesson but in the process is fired by his boss.
His friend, Ching Ming, was also fired and both men search around to find new jobs but can not find an employer willing to hire them. They soon realize that the men who caused the trouble at the restaurant have a lot of influence in the city from they association with local crime boss, Mr Grace.
Just as they finally find work at the wharf, the foreigners arrive and demand that they should be fired. When the boss at the wharf does not give in to they demands, they beat up his other workers. Bruce tries to intervene but is held back by Ching Ming. His help however is not needed, as the nephew of the boss, Teacher Hui (Carter Wong), arrives to deal with them.
The following day, Bruce is teased and called a coward for just standing by. He gets the chance to redeem himself when the foreigner fighters return with a top fighter. Winning the respect of all his co-workers, they persuade Bruce to open a martial arts school to teach them how to fight back like him. Teacher Hui is not so enthusiastic about the idea and challenges him to a contest. Following his defeat by Bruce, Teacher Hui realizes that he was wrong about Bruce's intentions, and the two become good friends.
Mr. Grace is angry that his men where so easily defeated by a chinese. After failing in his attempt to bribe Bruce into working for him, Grace hires a Champion martial artist Ching Kung Chi (Hwang Jang Lee) to deal with him.
