SYNOPSIS
Chan Wai Man struggles to make enough money to support his wife and child. His wife, who doesn't hesitate to scold him at every opportunity, decides to get a job of her own as a 'clubgirl' for a local nightclub. Only caring about money, it's not long before Chan's scheming wife sees a better life with the clubs owner and persuades her new man to let her and the kid move in.
Going back to her old home to claim the child, along with a few heavies from the club, the unsuspecting Chan becomes infuriated at the new revelation and attacks his wife. But during the scuffle with his wife, the baby is accidentally killed.
Afterwards, the Hong Kong police are investigating a current series of local prostitute murders. Inspector Robert Wong , Detective Bruce, and the rest of the C.I.D. team are having a hard time due to the lack of evidence from any of the crime scenes. As a way to lure out the murderer, the team use a new female recruit Judy to pose as prostitute.
Back at the station, the cops still have not been able to catch the killer, so Wong's superiors bring in the help of Inspector John, who recently studied in the UK and is a old friend of Robert's. Working together, they discover a connection between the murders, and the C.I.D. team decide to persist with their new recruit as bait. The killer is then finally lured out, but he still manages to escape. Angry at the police trap, the killer tries to get revenge on Inspector Wong, but luckily Bruce is on hand to fight the mad man and reveal his identity.
