SYNOPSIS
Disgraced shaolin student Han hosts a martial arts tournament held on his mysterious island every three years, inviting fighters from all around the world to join the competition.
Han is suspected to be involved in drug trafficking and prostitution, so when the British Intelligence hear about the upcoming event, they approach a skilled fighter from shaolin called Lee (Bruce Lee) for help.
Han disallows firearms on the island so Lee is an ideal candidate for the mission but he has his own reasons for entering the tournament. Not only to bring Han to justice but also to avenge the death of his sister who's death was caused by Han's henchmen.
Lee arrives on Han's island and receives a warm reception. Joining him are other competitors - Roper, a white American playboy-gambler on the run from the mob, and Williams, a black American activist on the run from the law after fighting two white policemen in Los Angeles.
That night, Lee begins searching the island for evidence and finds a secret entrance to an underground base. His identity is not reveled but the next day Han warns the competitors about wandering out of their rooms at night and brutally punishes his guards for failure in their duties.
The following night Lee once again breaks into the underground base but this time is not so lucky when he is discovered while attempting to get a message to British intelligence operatives. Surround by Han's guards, Lee takes them all on with his deadly nunchaku's but is trapped and left with nowhere to escape.
In an attempt to bring Roper (John Saxon) into his organisation, Han takes him on a tour of his underground base and invites him to be his representative for his Heroin smuggling operations in the United States. As a test of loyalty, Han asks Roper to fight against Lee. When he refuses, Han orders his men to kill them both.
Seeing that both men are not so easy to handle, Han makes his escape into the hall of mirrors only to be chased by Lee in a climatic showdown to bring him to justice and defend the honour of the Shaolin temple.
