SYNOPSIS

Ah Chen leaves his home to travel to the Ching Wu martial arts school to learn from Master Ho. One day whilst running a errand for his master at the docks, Chen witnesses the mistreatment of the Chinese people by the overpowering Japanese. When a worker at the docks accidentally discovers a smuggled shipment of weapons, he is killed to keep him quiet.  The rest of the workers become tired of being bullied and turn to the Ching Wu school for help. Not wanting to get involved in the situation, Master Ho refuses to teach them.

Visiting the park, Chen sees that the Japanese are stopping the chinese from entering. Unable to contain his anger, Chen beats them. Following the incident, a town meeting is held. Master Ho still maintains that he and school will not get involved in the increasing problems of the Japanese invaders.

Angered by his masters refusal to help, Chen attacks the Japanese school single handily but he is unable to defeat them all.  Not knowing who their attacker was, the Japanese come to the conclusion that the only fighters good enough are the Ching Wu school and demand that the Police inspector sorts it out.

Not being able to turn a blind-eye, the chinese police inspector visits Ho's school and only leaves when he promises to hand over the one responsible. Master Ho then orders Chen to leave town to evade being arrested.

Under the pretence of peace, the Japanese invite Master Ho to dinner. Encouraged to drink the wine, this leads to him being poisoned and attacked. After only barely managing to make it home, the master dies.

During the funeral service of the late master Ho, the Japanese take the opportunity to attack the school.  Returning to find his master and most of the students dead, Chen Jun immediately goes to find the Japanese responsible.
