Bruce is confident in his kung fu skills but following a fight with blind kung fu master, he returns to his master to teach him how he can overcome the techniques.
Outside of school, Bruce and his friends get into trouble with the local gangsters. When he is unable to beat the gang's top fighter, he is strung up outside his home to teach him a lesson. Recovering from his injuries, Bruce discovers that one of his friends was not so lucky and later died from the result of his injuries. Also during the fight , the son of an important figure in town, Master Kim (Shek Kin), iwas injured by Bruce, and leaders from the gang try to use this two they advantage.
Bruce realises that with just his Wing Chun style alone, he will not be able to seek revenge for his humiliation and friends death, and so asks a master in the snake fist style to teach him. Carefully studying the ways of the snake, Bruce develops his own unique style of Drunken Snake Boxing.
Returning to fight with the man he previously could not defeat, Bruce is this time easily able to win due to his new fighting skills. Leaders from the gang decide to pay Bruce's father a visit to tell him of all the trouble that he has been causing. Furious by this, he threatens to send Bruce away.
