SYNOPSIS
Working as acrobats in a local village show, two close friends Hung Tien Tack and Mok Tsui are often getting into trouble and are scolded by their Master. When performing one of the shows, students from a martial arts school begin to stir up trouble and harass the performers. Not able to listen to their taunting any more, the two friends beat them up. This doesn't go down too well with the Theatre owner and leaves the Master with no other alternative but to cast out his two students.
After leaving the troupe, the two stay with Hung's auntie and open a Kung Fu School to make a living. When his Aunt refuses to move out of her home, a local gangster sends around his men to try and persuade her. Citing the kung fu school as being a problem, the gangster fools his American friend John in the hope that he can beat up Hung and close down the school.
Not realizing their true aim, John goes to the school to challenge Hung but after he is defeated, he asks to be taken on as one of the students.
After arranging a trick meeting, the gangsters attempt to finish off Hung and Mok. During the scuffle the two kill one of the gangsters but the incident leads to Mok being caught by the police and sent to jail.
Six months later, Hung has found work in the action film industry and has fast become a famous star. Mok is also released from prison and visits his old master to practice harder than ever in kung fu, despite the damage he previously sustained to his leg.
Angry at the such short sentence Mok served, the leader of the gangsters hires the famous kung fu expert known as the "Lama Killer" Lok Lee to take revenge.
