SYNOPSIS

During World War 2, the Japanese occupy China. A small group of Chinese hide out in the mountains of Lee-Chow Village and strive to drive out the invaders from China.

One of the group members, Lee Shou Lung (Ho Chung-Tao), wants to marry his sweetheart Kwan-Ying but must first receive her fathers permission. Her father however has other plans when he is offered a sum of money for his daughter to be a teahouse owners concubine.

The head commander of the Japanese in the area thinks highly of his fighting skills but is in fact pretty useless, and the men under him aren't much better. The commander and his men move onto the Lee-Chow Village to complete they imperial mission. When nightfalls, the soldiers set up camp in the village but are terrified when it appears that a ghost is haunting the barracks.

An informer for the groups tells them that the Japanese intend to search the mountains and the area around the village for rebels, so when the Japanese soldiers make their move, the group is waiting to deal with the Captain and his useless men.

Their occupation over the area has not been going too well for the Commander and he is upset when they receive news ordering a cease fire and that the war is over!
